The aim of the Smart FM conference is to highlight the benefits of a more strategic approach to Facilities Management within the public sector.
Since the election and the formation of the coalition Government, the need to centralise, standardise and professionalise procurement processes across government as part of a drive to cut the fiscal deficit is clearly visible. Changes to the way that Facilities Management contracts are procured and managed will be required to respond to this objective.
The audience for Smart FM will predominantly be public sector FM buyers, contract managers and decision makers with some representation from FM suppliers and consultancies. Working together will be crucial and so the messages which will be delivered will be important for both private and public contract managers and service providers.
