Smart Facilities Management

Across its entire estate, the UK public sector currently spends more than £50 billion per year on Facilities Management (FM). Last year’s Operational Efficiency Programme Report (OEP) stated that £500 million per year could be saved by the adoption of collaborative procurement for FM contracts. Much has changed since then but the current administrations focus on reducing cost in all areas of public sector spend has led to the development of an ‘Smart’ Facilities Management programme to drive maximum spend reduction in this crucial area.

The Smart Facilities Management Conference, which is to be held at the Queen Elizabeth II Conference Centre, Westminster on September 8th, 2010 will bring together key decision-makers and influencers, plus those charged with the implementation of the strategies and the development of the processes which will deliver these significant savings.

Delegates will be drawn from all parts of the public and third sectors and from a wide range of disciplines, reflecting the breadth of interests and responsibilities that this area encompasses and giving delegates the opportunity to network with their peers from other areas of public sector, share best practice and take practical solutions back to their own organisations.
